Scholarships Awarded for More Than 40 Years
The Freehold Soil Conservation District Board of Supervisors awards scholarships to area college students majoring in a field related to the conservation of our natural resources. The Neal Munch and Mac Clark Scholarships are named to honor their years of dedicated and distinguished service to the Freehold District and to conservation efforts.
2025 Scholarship Application
This year marks the 43rd year that the Freehold Soil Conservation District will award college scholarships. The District will award two $2,500 scholarships to students majoring in a conservation-related field in the summer of 2025. The Neal Munch and Mac Clark Scholarships are named to honor their years of dedication and distinguished service to Freehold District and to conservation.
Charles Buscaglia, Board Chairman, presented students with $2,000 checks and certificates of achievement. “We are fortunate to be able to provide scholarships to students in honor of those who dedicated many years to local conservation efforts,” said Buscaglia.
Congratulations to the following students who received scholarship awards in 2024
Justine Smith, of Old Bridge, received a Scholarship. Justine is a senior at Stockton University majoring in environmental science with a concentration in wildlife management.
Allyson Murray, of Old Bridge, received the Mac Clark Scholarship. She is a senior at Stockton University majoring in geology and marine science with a concentration in oceanography.
Alvin Chin, of Highland Park, received the Neal W. Munch scholarship and he is a senior majoring in environmental planning and design at Rutgers University.
